ONE STEP FORWARD- PROJECT

Project ONE STEP FORWARD brings together my classmates from painting classes at VŠVU. The idea came from Kristýna Šimeková and the exhibiton was curated by Jana Řeháková. During the exhibition, we should create art in a way that is not natural to us, that´s why the name. Intentional stepping one step forward. In total, three exhibitions took place.

ONE STEP FORWARD, GALLERY MÉDIUM, 2010, BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA

It started with an exhibition in the Médium Gallery, you can see report at ARTYČOK. Honestly it is funny to watch how we´re starting to mature .. It was 2010! And who? Matej Fabian, Milica Fischerová, Dita Kaplanová, Patricia Koyšová, Hana Mikulenková, Kristína Šimeková, Ivana Oroszová, Lucia Tallová. Look at the photo of installation in the Médium Gallery in Bratislava, which I named
KEEPER. Something what keeps and must kept. I later elaborated the theme of the rescue circle twice, for example in this painting in 2015.

ONE STEP FORWARD VOL. 2, THE BRNO HOUSE OF ARTS, THE HOUSE OF THE LORDS OF KUNŠTÁT, 2013, BRNO, CZECH REPUBLIC.

The exhibition in Brno was our first show after graduation. Jana Řeháková wrote about my paintings: „Hana Mikulenková uses painting as a colored matter expressing with colours the very concept of her artwork. By putting the tags into the canvas, the author gave us help for understanding her artistic expression. Recently she abandoning them and in the new series - It´s Such a Nice Place, the Land of Tears - she began to use whole sentences. Written text has the meaning character of the painting, refers directly to it and helps to understand its content. The author uses templates, gesture splatters and sprays, the colours are the most important element in her art. wrote Jana Řeháková. You can see Photoreport from the exhibition at Artalk

ONE STEP FORWARD VOL. 3, INDUSTRIAL GALLERY, 2014, OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC

The exhibition was held together with a residential stay, where we had the opporunity to realize mural art and use the materials from the Vítkovická slévárna to create objects. The assignment of this exhibition was one format, so we had a clearly defined mantinel. My painting is named ROSE FOR KATHARINA. I have also made a rose object. The review (in czech) of the exhibition was written by Pavlína Schneider.
